Qonnected in Cobouw: lower costs and stronger bids through smarter construction logistics

Smarter construction logistics can help contractors win tenders and reduce costs. In Cobouw’s Forecast 2026 edition, Qonnected explains how we support contractors, from planning through to delivery on site.

Vehicle load utilisation in construction logistics is only around 60%. This leaves substantial capacity unused, resulting in unnecessary journeys and high costs. Waiting times, additional handling and urgent deliveries add to the bill.

Qonnected connects the entire construction supply chain through a single AI-powered platform. From tendering and procurement to construction logistics and circular material flows, we organise the work using your existing project data, including your BIM model, materials list and construction schedule. You stay in control.

Our involvement starts at the tender stage. By developing a logistics plan that consolidates deliveries, reduces emissions and minimises disruption, we help you strengthen your bid. Once the contract is awarded, we put that plan into practice together with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, transport providers and construction logistics hubs.

The Cobouw article also explores how we are applying this approach in our collaboration with Dura Vermeer on the Amstelwood project. By coordinating logistics centrally, we give the project team more time to focus on construction.

The Q-Platform is free to use. You pay for the services we organise. Depending on the project and existing working methods, we see potential to reduce logistics costs by 30–50%.
